On my recent trip to Victoria I popped in to my favourite bookshop, Barwon Booksellers, who are significantly responsible for the growth of my cookbook collection during my time living down the Victorian coast.
Barwon Booksellers are now a stockist of tropical cuisine: cooking in clare’s kitchen so anyone living in the Geelong and Great Ocean Rd area can pop into the Geelong city store at 2 James St. or the Queenscliff store at 81 Hesse St. Queenscliff to purchase a copy.
For anyone wanting to catch me prior to Christmas I will have a stall at the Esplanade Markets on the foreshore in Cairns from 8am to 4pm. See you there!
For those of you who have been wanting to try Brazilian spinach, it is available at Rusty’s market this weekend (today, Friday and Saturday) from Blia.
Blia is at what some people may know as Ricky Lee’s stall (her brother) which is in the centre of the main section of Rusty’s. Standing with your back to Sheridan St, Billy’s Coffee is on your left, then directly in from Billy’s is the flower stall, then the next stall in is Blia. The Brazilian spinach is on the row facing the flower stall.
…to the many people who support my plans to do further research in SE Asia on the healing properties of tropical foods. I’m not able yet to do the trip but it remains on the agenda for 2012, so I will post details here when plans are set.
Just a quick note to let you know that I will be at Rusty’s Markets in Cairns
tomorrow (Thursday) from 11am to 1pm,
Friday from 8am to 10am,
and Saturday (Christmas Eve) from 11am to 1pm. (AMENDED – I will now be all day Christmas Eve, 8am to 4pm at the ESPLANADE MARKETS on the Cairns foreshore)
If you have a copy of tropical cuisine you want signed, please feel free to bring it in – I will be at Billy’s Coffee stall in the centre of the market. And of course for those of you still looking for a present for yourself or a loved one, I’ll be able to sign your purchase for you.
See you there!
